It has been one long nice holiday away from the hospital.  The last time we were there it was to briefly pick up some medication and I can’t even remember the day. It was also nice for me to take a break from this journal to clear my mind of it all.  Everything kind of feels like a bad dream at this point, however, reality will face us this Friday when we have follow-up appointments with our surgeon Dr. Skarsgard and Dr. Bond.  It will be on this day that we will distribute our thank you’s to those who have touched our lives and enhanced Dominique’s.   I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to say thank you and know that it will be a very emotional moment for myself.  I’ve concluded that there is no words of language that convey the intense emotions of gratitude that we feel.  

Time has been passing at a quicker pace these days as we are enjoying ourselves.  Dominique has a Sinead O’Connor look and her energy level is ever increasing.  I will try and post some recent photos of her.
